Fall is Just Around the Corner!

Once the kids are back in school you know that Fall is not far off. I love the sights, sounds, and smells of Fall and, quite frankly, I am ready for the humid 90-degree days to be over and done! My card today is another adorable stamp, Pumpkin Stack (#12910) from QKR Stampede (if you follow my personal blog, you may have seen this card yesterday).
This little stack of pumpkins, with their cute little expressions, reminded me of the song learned in elementary school . . . "Five little pumpkins sitting at the gate; the first one said, "Oh my it's getting late . . . " Did you learn that song? Do you remember the lyrics? I remember learning it, singing it in class, and singing it at an assembly--we sure thought we were something for a bunch of first graders!! As with most of the images I color, the image was stamped with Ancient Page Coal Black waterproof dye ink and colored with Prismacolor watercolor pencils and a blender pen. The brads and background paper were purchased at my local craft store. If you would like to see another Fall project, go to this post at my blog. LAST DAY TO APPLY FOR THE DESIGN TEAM AT QKR STAMPEDE: Would you like to work with some of these adorable stamps by QKR Stampede? Today is the last day to submit your design team application, so if you have been thinking about it but haven't done it yet, do it now!!!

Stamp for all Season

Hello and Happy Friday!!!  JennK here with you today.  I have a project to share using the Birdhouses stamp.  I thought it would be great to show how versatile a stamp really can be and what better way then to show one stamp used for all 4 seasons?  So I decided to create this birdhouse wall hanging.

And here are a few close up...

Here is Spring and Summer birdhouses.

And here is Fall and Winter Birdhouses.

For all the birdhouses I colored them in using Copics. On the spring Birdhouse I also added some Flower Soft.  And the winter scene I used some glitter on top of liquid applique for the snow.  I also added some stickles to a few leaves and other area for a frosty effect.

I hope you enjoyed seeing how one stamp can be used for so many different seasons.
Happy Craftin'!, JennK

Just a Note...Teacher Gifts

Hi there...Jessica here with you today. Today I wanted to share these little gifts I made for back to school teacher gifts. Yeah I am one of THOSE moms...lol. Since I was making little Post-it note holders, I thought the Just a Note sentiment from the QKR Stampede store was PERFECT! Here is a picture of the front of them. Aren't they cute???!!! The "biggest" part of them is the 3 1/2" scallop squares. So they are pretty small, but perfect for a teacher's desk or even a purse. You could make them as a gift for just about anyone, and personalize the background to fit that person or occasion.

This is the what the inside looks like. I kinda wish I could have found sticky notes that matched a little better, but this is what they had at Big Lots...lol. For the link to the tutorial on how to make these please head on over to my blog HERE. I also included all the details about what I used to make these. (Look for the post labeled Back to School Teacher Gifts.)

Thanks for stopping by today!

Can it be????? Is summer almost over????

I cannot believe that it is the end of August, where in the heck did the summer go?

Hi everyone, this is Laralee and I am so excited to be posting today. I have been making cards like crazy.........I had a goal of making 1 WELCOME card for each of my grandchildren, that are in school, for their teachers. I DID IT!!!!! These are just a couple of examples of what I have done.

I used the the teacher stamp, and also a saying stamp that I got out of the store. The other saying of GOD grant me the serenity is a stamp that I have had for years. On the scarecrow boy, he is also a stamp out of the store and his saying of "The time has come" is #18407.

We have such great stamps in the store, be sure to stop by and order a few for the winter months. DID I JUST SAY WINTER?????? Slap my mouth for swearing.

That is all I have for right now. Be sure to stop by tomorrow to see what one of the other DT members have whipped up.

Decisions-decisions!!!

Can't decide.  I love this adorable little stamp and had so much fun making cards with it I did 3 on my lunch half-hour.  Here they are.  I used white cardstock, printed paper mats, paint chip mats, flowers, punched strips, and alcohol markers and watercolors.  Any questions just ask.

Fall Friends

Hi everyone! It's Jerusha again! Fall is my favourite season, I love the cool weather and the smell in the air an the leaves changing colour. I can't wait for fall to come!  The nights have been getting cooler already and I have spotted a changing tree or two in our area.  I can't wait for pumpkins and apple picking and baking! I could go on all day...but I'll stop!

For this card, I used the stamp Autumn Friends and then coupled that with some new ribbon and flowers that I had in my stash to create an autumn feel.  This is the first fall card that I have made this year! So what do you think? Pretty cute, huh? You can find more cards like this in the QKR Stampede Store! There's something for everyone!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today! Have a great day!

Beautiful Cross Stamp

I love this cross stamp.  Definately an Easter theme, but could also be used as a sympathy card, confirmation, or an encouragement card for anyone in your church.
The base cardstock is cream color, and mat is an orchid cardstock.   I stamped the image in versamark and embossed it in Pearlized Amethest on a glitter paper from Provo.
Very Springish too!

Perfect Christmas Tree

Hi there and thanks for stopping by1
My card share with you today uses the QKR Stampede stamp Perfect Christmas Tree. I just love this stamp because it looks like a Charlie Brown tree.
At Christmas I put up several trees and this stamp also reminds me of my hubby's tree because it looks about like this one, but has outdoorsy things on it instead of balls.

I declare!!

Here is a darling little bunny who wants you to stop and listen to what he has to say.  White cardstock base, black strip, foile stars, printed plaid mat, gold star organdy wire ribbon, typed message on a tan oval and black scallop oval, along with the darling image colored in with both watercolors and alcohol markers.

Girl Reading Bookmark

I just started reading a new book and I needed a bookmark. I can't find the one I used last, so it must be hiding in some other book and I probably just forgot. What to do? Make another one, right??

This one uses one of the rare vintage-style stamps from QKR Stampede - yes there are a few of those in the store. :-) I stamped this with a brown ink and colored it in with some Copic markers. I wanted to continue the aged, vintage feel of this bookmark, so I sponged the edges with Antique Linen distress ink and then with Vintage Photo distress ink. I found some blue ribbon to match the girl's dress and tied it through the top of the bookmark.

Now I can get back to reading my book and not worry about where I left off. Hope you have a great day!

School Days . . . Continued

Hello QKR Fans! Today's project is a continuation of the School Days (back to school theme) Blog Hop. There is still time to participate in the Hop and be eligible for a prize. All the details can be found here. Take the opportunity to see all the wonderful projects created by the Design Team Members and have a chance to win some products for yourself!

My project today is an altered Post-It leatherette case that was at my local craft store for only $1.This is a nice, sturdy case that can be refilled and reused; a gift that will keep giving!
And here it is after I "altered" it. I covered it with a piece of Core'dinations paper, added some patterned paper, the QKR Stampede Mouse Teacher (#702) stamp (which was colored with my Prismacolor watercolor pencils and a blender pen and cut out), some buttons and alphabet beads that were strung onto gold wire. If you look at the previous photograph, you will see that the opened (inside) cover is "shiny". This is a clear vinyl pocket that had a 1-year calendar in it -- but the calendar was outdated. You could put a gift card in the pocket for the gift recipient.
With a few changes, this could also be a terrific gift for an office worker--a secretary, administrator--basically anyone who uses Post-It notes on the job! Thanks for stopping by and visiting the QKR Stampede blog. Be sure to participate in the Blog Hop to be eligible to win a terrific prize!!! Have a GREAT day!    ---Carol

For You...and a Sneak Peek!

Hello, Jessica here with you today. I have a card to share with you today, and a little reminder. Tomorrow is our August DT Blog Hop! Oh we are all so excited to share our projects with you!!! The theme for our hop this month is "School Days". Now where I live, we still have about 4 more weeks, but I know some schools have either already started, or go back next week. Well, if you still have a few weeks left, or if your kids are already heading back to school, please join us for our "School Days" Blog hop. The fun starts right here tomorrow morning!
Well today I am going to share a bit of a bright summery card with you. I used the In Love image for this one. I colored him with colored pencils, and layered him onto some floral PP. The sentiment is actually a part of the Rootin' image. I stamped it, and cut out the "for you" part with an oval punch. The swirly things I added last. I used a template, and added the mirrored gems with my i-Rock (a heat setting tool).
Well that is all for my card today, but here is a little sneak peek of what is coming up from me on the blog hop tomorrow. Like I said before...you don't want to miss this! So hop on over right to this blog tomorrow morning, and see what fun School Days projects we have for you!

Lovely Lion

Good morning, everyone! It's Jerusha here to share a card with you today. I have been busy making new cards to share with you for the blog hop on Friday, so I am going to post one I shared on my personal blog last week. It's a cutie!

For this card, I've used the Lion stamp. You can pair it up with different sentiments, but I just chose to let him speak in volumes.

Don't forget to come by on Friday for the blog hop, I am very excited to share with you what I have been working on and the other gals have been hard working too so you are not going to want to miss it!!

See you soon!

Card fronts going to Maribeth

I had fun last night creating card fronts for Maribeth using the QKR rubber stamps.

Joy

I'm still having fun playing with Christmas images from QKR Stampede and I don't want to stop! LOL This one is called "Joy" and it is a dream to color. It took me less than 5 minutes to color in this image and slightly longer to cut the cardstock and papers for this card.

I used Mercy's sketch this week (MTSC85) for the layout on this card. Kind of a funky design, huh? This is an odd shaped card - 6" by 3 3/8", but I really wanted to try this one out. As it turns out, I rather like these proportions. :-)

Head on over to QKR Stampede and browse through their extensive array of stamps. I find something new every time I look around, and my wish list grows even longer. LOL

Stamps:
Joy from QKR Stampede

Ink:
Tuxedo Black Memento

Paper:
Black, White, patterned paper from Hobby Lobby

Other:
Copic markers
oval dies - Spellbinders

Hello from Minnesota

Hello friends!  Barb from Minnesota bringing you today's post!
Todays card features QKR's stamp 'Teacher' 16811.
For the layout of this card I used Clean and Simple Stamping layout #100.
The background paper is from October Afternoon (love these papers!). It's hard to see but the pattern has ABC 's and 123's on it. I distressed the background before stamping the image. I then colored her with colored pencil.
The border on the bottom is a new die cut from
My Favorite Things, Die-Namics, Open scallop.
Thanks for stopping by - comments are welcome and appreciated!
Until next time....
Barb
